Michael Vernon Stahlman, son of Bert Stahlman and the late Thelma Todd Stahlman, was born on November 8, 1955 and departed this life at Norfolk, Virginia on September 27, 1986 having reached the age of thirty years, ten months and nineteen days. Mike is survived by his wife, Brenda Davis Stahlman of Jacksonville, Florida, by a son, Jason Stahlman, and two daughters, Melissa and Wendy Stahlman, all of the home, by his father and stepmother, Bert and Elsie Stahlman of St. Clair, Mo, by his stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Todd Stahlman in 1980.
Mike was raised in the St. Clair area and received his schooling there. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1973 where he served his country for over twelve years. His Naval career included tours of duty aboard several aircraft carriers as well as naval stations in the United States. He had attained the rank of Chief Hull Technician.
A kind and loving husband, father, son, stepson, stepbrother, nephew, cousin, and a cherished friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Naval memorial services were held at Norfolk, Virginia on September 30, 1986. Funeral Services were held on October 3, 1986 at 10 A.M. from the Russell Colonial Chapel with Reverend Tom Smith officiating. Interment was in the Anaconda Cemetery near St. Clair.
