Stephen D Lynn of St Clair, MO, passed away Sunday, Jan 3, 1993, at the age of 83 years.
Stephen was born July 22,1909 to the late Stephen and Marcella Lynn at East Prairie, MO. He spent his childhood in the Mississippi County area, and at 19 years old he moved to St Louis. On November 5, 1939, he was married to Mary Gass at St Louis, MO. Mr Lynn was employed as a Tool and Die Maker fir the Ramsey Corporation as well as other manufacturing companies, until his retirement. He lived the past 50 years in rural St Clair, MO. Stephen was a member of the Easter Masonic Lodge #575 A F and A M in ST Clair. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends as a man of great honesty and admiration. He was a fluent hunter and loved the outdoors. He took great pride in his family, and showed them love. He was known to his grandchildren as their "dollar Grandpa" and they will miss him deeply.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lynn of St Clair; one son Stephen D Lynn and wife Jo Ann of Bourbon, MO; three daughters, Diane Sohn and husband Jack of Sullivan, Sally Sohn and husband Bill of Charleston, SC, and Rosemary Ransom and husband Joe of Sullivan; nine grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Hopgood and Willie Watson.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday Jan 6, 1993 from the Eaton funeral Home, Sullivan, with Pastor Jerry Brown officiating. Interment was in anaconda Cemetery, St Clair. Masonic Memorial services were held Tuesday under the auspices of the Easter Lodge #575, St Clair. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
