Rozina Marie Atkins, nee Palmer, 90, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in St. Clair.
Rozina, daughter of the late George S. Palmer and wife Thea M., nee Hegna, was born July 11, 1923, in Granite Falls, Minn. She was united in marriage to William Howard Atkins Jan. 30, 1947, in South Dakota. The couple made their home in Oklahoma. They moved to Missouri in 1972, and then to Union in 1983. Rozina was a homemaker.
Rozina was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Atkins; parents, George S. and Thea M. Palmer; one nephew, Dick; and one niece, Melanie.
She is survived by two sons, William Atkins and wife Kelly, Kimberling City, and John Atkins and wife Leigh Ann, Barnhart; two daughters, Janice Penkal and husband Ken, Columbia, Tenn., and Lori Clifton and husband Mark, Ballwin; 14 grandchildren, Greg, Lisa (Jon), Bill, Kelly (Matt), Christina (Damon), John (Shannon), Michael (Julie), Alex, Sarah, Steven, Stephanie, Stacy, Michaela and Summer; nine great-grandchildren, Oscar, Leo, Olivia, Evie, Braden, Logan, Ashton, Michael and Nicole; one sister, Dona Ellerbroek, Sibley, Iowa; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, with the Rev. Gary Daud officiating.
Burial followed in Union Cemetery, Union.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Franklin County Humane Society.
