James R. Anderson, 69, Pacific, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Pacific.
James, son of the late Claiborne Anderson and wife Evelyn, nee Watters, was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Pacific. He received his education at Pacific High School. He was employed as a bricklayer and stone mason.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Claiborne and Evelyn Anderson; grandfather, B.J. Watters; and aunt and uncle, Helen and Russell Watters.
He is survived by his longtime companion and best friend, Diane Coleman, Pacific; one son, Travis Coleman, Columbia; one brother, the Rev. David Anderson, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Lula Ann Cash, Dallas, Texas; and many friends who helped and loved him.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 12, at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific, with the the Rev. David Anderson and the Rev. Travis Coleman officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Travis Coleman College Fund, Missouri Baptist Home, Father Dilorenzo, Boston, Mass., or the American Cancer Society .
The Anderson family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
