Mildred R. Skouby, nee Wildt, 80, Gerald, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at her residence.
Mildred, daughter of the late Herman Wildt and wife Katherine, nee Zwicke, was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School, and graduated in 1951. She was united in marriage to George Skouby May 22, 1954, at St. Francis Borgia Church. Mildred was a homemaker.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, George Skouby; parents, Herman and Katherine Wildt; one brother, Kenny Wildt; and one daughter-in-law, Valerie Skouby.
She is survived by seven children, Mike Skouby, Maryland Heights, Tim Skouby and wife Jordan, Fenton, Kathy Degenhardt and friend Keith Moore, Dianne Christeson and husband Glen, all of St. Charles, Brian Skouby and wife Jerri, New Haven, Gary Skouby and wife Shelly, Gerald, and Lisa Skouby, Kirkwood; two brothers, Don Wildt and wife Barb, and Paul Wildt, all of Washington; four sisters, Doris Skornia, Washington, Sister Kenneth Wildt, Springfield, Ill., Helen Hanneken and Carol Straatmann and husband Al, all of Villa Ridge; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Oct. 28, at Holy Family Parish, Port Hudson, with the Rev. Jim Foster officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Masses may be said or memorials given to the Holy Family Parish Cemetery.
The Skouby family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
