Herman Fred Grannemann, 84, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.
He was born April 11, 1929, in Randolph County, Ill., the son of Ferdinand Grannemann and wife Berda, nee McCormick.
Herman worked as a truck driver. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany after World War II and during the Korean War. Herman was a member of the Warrenton Masonic Lodge 609. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, caring for wildlife and was a gun enthusiast.
Herman is survived by his son, Mark (Marilyn) Grannemann, O'Fallon; two daughters, Louise (Patrick) Delaney, St. Charles, and Ardell (Perry) Craig, Clayton; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Grannemann, Bridgeton, and Calmon Grannemann, Chester, Ill.; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerda Grannemann, nee Kneipp; parents, Ferdinand and Berda Grannemann; two brothers, William and Ferdinand Grannemann; one sister, Louise; and two grandsons, Patrick Delaney and David Grannemann.
Visitation was scheduled to be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton, MO 63383.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Warrenton City Cemetery.
