Effie Fincher, nee Dildine, 85, Warrenton, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.
She was born in Pemiscot Feb. 22, 1928, to Jimmy Dildine and wife Levonia, nee Townsend.
Effie was a childcare provider for many years and helped shape the minds of all who were in her care. She was perhaps at her happiest when she was caring for her own family.
Effie is survived by two sons, Freddie Fincher and wife Alice and Shawn Fincher and wife Brandy; four daughters, Faye Bruckerhoff, Roxie Acy, Doris Schleicher and Sharon Parker and husband Joe; two sisters, Maddie Carter and Daisey Allen; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd; parents, Jimmy and Levonia; three sisters, Icey, Jewell and Kathleen; and one brother, Barry.
A visitation was held Monday, Nov. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial followed in St. Charles Memorial Gardens, St. Charles.
