Edward H. Reuber of Krakow, Mo. passed away on Friday, March 25, 1988 at the Cedarcrest Manor, Washington, Mo., having attained the age of 63 years, six months and 20 days. Mr. Reuber, son of the late Jacob H. and Josephine A. Reuber (nee Meyer) was born on Sept. 5, 1924 at Washington, Mo.
He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Francis Borgia Church and received his education at the parochial school, St. Peters, west of Washington, Mo. Entered the U.S. Army on Oct. 21, 1944 at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. and received his honorable discharge on Nov. 4, 1946 at the Separation Center, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, as Technician Fifth Grade, Company L, 104th Infantry Regiment, having served in Central Europe. Mr. Reuber was Franklin-Warren County Area Supervisor for the Western Catholic Union Insurance Co. since 1959 to the present date. The deceased was a member of the St. Gertrude Church, Parents Without Partners, The Divorced Catholics of Washington and the Washington Lodge No. 1559 BOP Elks and the American Legion of Union, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob H. Reuber on March 8, 1959 and his mother, Josephine A. Reuber on Feb. 5, 1974. Survived by two daughters, Ann Kaiser and husband, Robert, and Jacqueline Reuber, all of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, George Reuber and wife, Leola, Washington, Mo.; two sisters, Frances Temme and husband, Clarence, of Union, Mo. and Mary Voss and husband, Charles (Bill), of St. Louis, Mo.; special friend, Dolly Hoerstkamp; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral mass on Monday, March 28, 1988, 10 a.m., St. Gertrude Church, Krakow, Mo., the Rev. Robert Argent, officiating. Interment St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Cemetery, Washington, Mo.
The Reuber family was served by the Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington, Mo.
