Sarah Elizabeth Hall
Sarah Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Richard and El gah Blankenship passed away Dec. 29 1929, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Belcher at 821 So. 11th Street, St. Joseph, MO. She was born Dec 25 1849, at Greentop (sic) (Should be Greenup), KY. At the age of three years she moved with her parents to Pattonsburg. She was married to George W. Hall May 7, 1865. Mr. Hall Passed away June 11 1921. Having no children of their own, they took a nephew, Charles Belcher, to raise. In 1889 they moved near King City. They resided in and near here until two years ago when moved to St. Joseph with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Belcher with whom she had made her home for many years. Mrs. Hall had been blind for six years. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Belcher and family she leaves several nieces and nephews, including a neice, Mrs. Ida Dilley of Kansas City, Kan; a nephew, Claude Graham, of St. Joseph, and many other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were conducted at Methodist church in King City Monday, Dec. 30. The burial was in King City cemetery. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Ida Dilley, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Belcher, Mr. and Mrs John Belcher, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Belcher, all of Kansas City, Kan.
