I am seeking info about brothers of my g-g-grandmother, Jemima MILLER. Three of her brothers died in the Civil War from Gentry Co. MO. The info I have is exerpted from "They Paved the Way" by C.P.Robertson which is that George and Wm. Jefferson Miller fought for the CSA w/ Gen. Price and John Miller fought for the Union w/ Gen. Curtis. Using online info it seems that Wm.Jefferson might have fought with the union in the 40th MO Inf. I'm very confused...Was Gen. Price a Confederate general and Gen.Curtis a Union general? Their father, Lemuel G. Miller raised many of his orphaned grandchildren. He lived in Andrew, Worth and Gentry counties in MO, dying at his son's (James M.) across the river in Troy, Kansas in 1881. Any information or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
