I don't know how I have overlooked your post to my cousin,
Milo E. Walker III----concerning the mother of John Riley
Walker (b. 1853 in Mo)---Sarah Francis Jones.

I have searched and searched for Francis Jones and have never found a first name for her---thank you so much for this lead.

The death certificate of John Riley Walker states that his
mother was Francis Jones. The information was given by JRW
son-in-law---James Lester Thorne (1936--Mannington, West Va.) however it appears that JRW's daughter did not provide
the information---Lester did-----and he stated that JRW was born in Montana, Green City---easy to see how the Mo and Ma
could have been in error (there never was a green city, in Montana).

Do you have any additional information on either, or, John Walker (father) Francis (mother) or John Riley Walker (my great grandfather)??
