I know this is an old post, but I am curious about LF Knight to which you reference. I am working on some research on a Leroy Felix Knight. He married Delaney Gillam (Knight) and as of at least 1866, she resided in Iron County. However, I was fairly certain that the parents of Leroy Felix were Absalom and Penelope. The children of Delaney and Leroy are Mary, Harriet, Francis, Nancy, and Richard.

The primary focus right now for my research is finding out what happened to this Leroy Felix Knight. I believe that he joined the confederate army in 1861, the preponderance of evidence I have found lists a death in 1869 (I have also found 1864, which in some sense makes sense as his cause of death is usually listed as Civil War wound). The last born child of Delaney is Richard born in 1866, which an 1864 death for Leroy does not work for.

Any clues would be appreciated.
