I have located my earliest ancestor, John Clements family in the 1850 census, Washington Co, Mo (Harmony Twp) with wife Sarah & 6 children. No trace of the family is found thereafter except a son Jacob who appears in Jackson Co, IL 1851 married to Margaret Farris 10/10/1851 (IL Marriage Records). I suspect the family remained in Washington Co which later (1857) became Iron Co, and/or perhaps migrated to Southeastern IL in the area of Jackson Co. Jacob later married Nancy Morandy Stevens Summers, a civil war widow 6/6/1863 in Jackson Co, IL, then migrated to Reynolds Co, Mo c1875 & later settling in Iron Co, MO. Appreciate any info on John & Sarah Clements.
