The Pilot Knob Catholic Cemetery, which lies about 1 mile north or Pilot Knob, along the old Middlebrook Road, is in great shape. It is being maintained, though I don't believe it is still used for burials. I have taken a number of photos of stones there. The most recent listing of transcriptions I have seen, however, shows no Kerns. Nor are there markers for Kerns in the Old Pilot Knob Cemetery east of Pilot Knob. This latter cemetery has been abandoned and is overgrown, but is still quite accessible. I have some great photos of relative's markers from that cemetery also. Note that some burials in these cemeteries may have no markers. I have at least one relative who was buried in the Catholic Cemetery without a marker.
Today most Catholic Pilot Knob burials are probably in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park, near Ironton.
