The Ladies' Guild of the Keneseth Israel Synagogue will give a ball at the new Casino, Eleventh and Broadway, tonight to obtain money for charitable purposes.
Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie Burkett WALDO, who died Monday morning at her home, 2215 Lister Avenue, will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home.
Melvin ESTENLAUB, the 8-year-old son of David ESTENLAUB, a meat inspector at the stock yards, died at the family home in Holmes Grove, Rosedale, yesterday afternoon.
Suit for divorce was brought in Independence yesterday by Evelyn against W. F. LEWIS. Vagrancy is charged. They were married January 31, 1909, and lived together six months.
The Council of Women's Clubs will hold an open meeting in the public library in Kansas City, Kansas, Thursday afternoon. Music will be furnished by the music department of the organization.
John G. BAUMER was granted a divorce from Ellen BAUMER by Judge Walter A. POWELL in Independence yesterday. He charged desertion. They were married in this city in 1887 and separated in 1898.
Funeral services for Filippo NORROTO, 78 years old, of 1042 East Fifth street, who died of hemorrhage January 31, will be held at the Holy Rosary Church at 9 o'clock this morning. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Funeral services for Miss Baratollo ABATTE, 19 years old, 509 Harrison street, who died of tuberculosis January 31, will be held at the Holy Rosary Church at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Fourteenth Ward Democratic Club was organized at Cary's Hall, Twenty-fourth street and Jackson avenue, last night. The officers elected are: R. J. HOLMNDEN, president; Virgil LANCE, vice- president; Frank ROBINSON, secretary, and Joseph C. HOWE, treasurer.
Miss Media O. HAMILTON, former teacher of English in the Kansas City, Kansas, High School, now an International Chautauqua field secretary, spoke to the members of the Washington Chautauqua Circle last night at the Washington Avenue Methodist Church in that city. A reception for Miss HAMILTON will be given Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. John W. BUSH, 2762 Charlotte street in this city.
