Yes, this is the Washington I have been gathering information on and the Washington Stephenson is the same person as Washington Stephens so far as I can tell. He is listed on the 1830 TN census, Marion County, as Washington Stephens along with likely relatives...Robert, Rufus M., Benjamin, and Mashack Stephens. The 1820 TN census, I think, was destroyed as was the 1810 GA census. At least those particular years/places have not been found by me.
The Inda Stephens in the 1850 census if read from the original view could just as easily have been read as Juda. Do you know of a transcription or, even better, a photo of the tombstones for George Washington and Juda Stephens? Thanks for sharing your info.
