Do you have a source for the location and where you Ansel E. was born. I have not find Ansel E.Wallace in the 1900 Census in IA. According to your 1884 birth date for A.E. Wallace he would be 6 yrs. and one would think he would be living with his parents. Can you give me a source for his Birth date? I am unsure he is child of Andrew Ansel Aries Wallace unless you have some documentation. With some more information we can probably figure if you A.E. Wallace is connected to Andrew.
Don

Dear Livingston,

Thank you for your answer. It looks like your man is the same as my Ansel A. Wallace, born in Gallia, Ohio in 1846 and died in Iowa. He was in the civil war, and i have his mustering out papers. I am going to all this trouble because I am trying to find some Wallace who might be able to tell me about Ansel E.Wallace who died in 1941.

Cooper

I am assuming you did not get my first reply. I have a Andrew Ansel Ariel Wallace in my Data Base. He was br. in Gallia County Ohio in 1846 and died in Lee County IA 1923. His father was William Harrison "Buck" Wallace. Does not look like the person you are searching for. Thanks for the reference to the Wallace site.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Reynda, I have been reading your postings of the James G. Belshe family who lived in Okalahoma. I have been trying to find out about their son Oscar Trimble Belshe who married my grandfather's sister in 1917. Here is some of what I have put together. I have found this info on various records, in addition to what you and others have found. It would be great to hear from anyone who knows more about this Oscar T. Belshe.

His WWII draft record said he had two children. That was in June of 1917, which would have been the month after he married his 2nd wife. I am wondering who his two children were. They would have been born in Dewey County, Oklahoma.

The other question I have been searching are there records showing that James Genoah Belshe is the brother of London Belshe. I assumed that since London married Julia's half-sister Rosa Carlyle.

It would be great to chat with you....jr_california@juno.com....I'd be glad to send you the info I have worked out so far.
I am related to Eli A. Clark. They lived in Carrolton, Missouri mostly and they had 4 daughters and 1 son, Walter Eli Clark who is my great grandfather.

Walter married twice first to Laura Dell Carter b 1889 Hannibal, MO d 1919 Hannibal Missouri. Then to Hazel Pearsun (Pearson) although her father, Asa, died when she was a baby and she was raised by John Wilkinson and even had his name. She was b. 1901 in LA California and d. 1977 in Denver Colorado. Hazel's mother was Frances Elizabeth Griffin.

She married Walter in 1923 in Jackson Mo. They had two daughters Elizabeth Anna and Mary Louisa (grandma).

Walter died in 1970 in Denver, Colorado.

I don't know that much about the Condrons. My grandma has a huge print out of a condron family tree, but I can only get information from direct descendants because of how the people are labelled like it might say that someone is a second cousin once removed, but it doesn't say who their parents are so it's hard to decide.

Hello,
I am replying to your post only because i am at a complete stand still on my Todd / Clark line. And this was the only thing i found with both the Clark and Todd names in the same post. My GG Grandmother Cecil May Todd was born in Sampsel, Livingston, MO 10 sep 1975. Her parents were John William Todd born 1869 and Emma A Clark born Jul 1874. If you have either of these people in your trees or know where I can get more information, please let me know.
thank you. Kimberly Stephans

Thank you very much for responding!

The article I found here on ancestry.com dated March 25, 1976, The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune. That was the complete article. There may be another article, but I have not come across it.

My mother is Mary Elizabeth Gladieux Feeney. I do not recall her ever telling me where the house was moved. I spent Christmas and summer vacation there. I have a few images of the inside and outside, but nothing of the complete house.

I have started a tree here not sure how to direct you to it, but the name is Feeney Family Tree.
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/18668295/family?fpid=69340359...

Looking forward to hearing from you soon, thank you again,
Stephanie
Hi all,
I wanted to share my latest bit of info on Nathan Hall Gregory.

Turns out I was following the wrong Nathan Hall Gregory! Kathy Stevenson, jkastevenson@msn.com, posted on our NHG's find-a-grave site and got me straight. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=58...

I know this is the right guy now because my grandfather, Marvin Sherwin was born in Bodie. Oddly enough the Bodie Gregory house turns up on lists of haunted houses, http://www.legendsofamerica.com/ca-bodie2.html. Some of the last inhabitants of Bodie were NHG's wife Catherine and their son Spence Gregory, so it could be Mrs Gregory knitting that afghan. The Gregory house is also home for the CA State Park Rangers through the winter.

Our NHG's parent are Manloff Robertson Gregory and Frances Abigail Mann. He and his brother Manloff Washington Gregory continued on from Livingston Co to California and settled in Bodie.

Nathan Hall Gregory
Powell's Parish, Currituck County, North Carolina 19 Nov 1841
Manhoff Robertson Gregory
Frances Abigal Mann
M Catharine Cook 8 Feb 1876 Carson City
North Carolina and Missouri, Bodie, California

Source Citation: California State Library; Sacramento, California; Sacramento County, California, Pioneer Index File (1906-1934), A-Z, California History Room: MICROFILM 734; Roll Number: 44.

Now if anyone can tell me who Frances "Fanny" Abigail Mann's parents were - that would be great!

Best,

Clara McKenzie

His wife Lucy is buried in the Hudgins Cemetery located behind the Mooresville Christian Church. Mooresville Cemetery is a separate entity, and some descendants are buried in Mooresville Cemetery.

Jim Stout
Normally you have to go to Topeka...a really nice facility in the State Historical Museum, very visitor friendly. I do get thru there 2-3 times a year, so if you have some to look up feel free to send to me. My regular email is Shocker76@aol.com.

ken brodbeck

Thank you so much for checking and finding these two obits. The family of Jacob Brodbeck had many descendents who ended up in Daviess County and the areas nearby. I wanted to ask if the Chillicothe library or indexes have much on those who died over in Daviess County? I have people who are buried at Altamont, Gallatin and Pattonsburg. Is it better to try to obtain obits from those places or is their a central newspaper archive in Missouri, like we have in Topeka,KS? Any help is most appreciated.

ken brodbeck

Here is the other one. I didn't follow the rule of checking for misspellings and maiden names. Here is the link to Chillicothe paper archives if you need anything else.
http://chillicothe.newspaperarchive.com/
I can only add a file here in a photo format.
Hello, I am wondering if you can help me. I am researching our Sullivan family Line. They lived in the Missouri area from the 1850s through the turn of the century. We are not sure of the eldest parents names but understand that they passed away sometime during the Civil War in the Pest House near Ironton, Missouri. We were also told that this "Pest House" was later referred to as the "Poor Farm". They had several children that were taken in by various family and area people following their parent's death from the Small Pox. Two of the children were William Victor Sullivan (born in Dec 1859) and his brother, John L. Sullivan (born in August 1856). We believe there were two sisters, N.Nancy and Elizabeth (Lizzie). We believe there may have been others but can't be sure. William was reportedly born in Liberty, Iron County, Missouri and in all likliness, so were his siblings. We would love to know more about the family should anyone know. William Victor Sullivan married Etta Caroline Braswell, Lizzie married Nathan Oneal. A small note that a cousin has shared has some information written on it that, "the Sullivans were buried near the "Ivester Farm". We are not sure if there may be a cemetery there somewhere or that they were buried on what is now "private property". We would love to discover the whereabouts of their final resting place. Other families associated are the "Carnahans" Stevenson or Stepherson" "Hubble" "Oneal" and "MCfadden" Should you have any information, please email me at glendalecrazy@aol.com or give me a call at 406-465-5667. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Daughter Mathilda Catherine Miller was born abt 5 Feb 1839 to the couple. He may have died by 1845 as Margaret remarried by then to David Petticrew. Henry may be buried in Livingston County.

Mathilda married Charles Somes ca 1858 in Iowa.

Thanks, Doug
