Mrs. Myrtle Knowles, formerly of Marquand died Monday in Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Knowles had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Regina Walker of Arvada, Colorado; but, had come to Marble Hill two weeks ago for a visit with relatives in this section.
Mrs. Knowles, the former Miss Myrtle Wallis, was born March 10, 1893. She was a daughter of the late Jacob L. and Margaret E. Wallis. On May 1, 1918, she married Robert Leo Knowles. They lived at Cornwall and later in St. Louis. She had been residing in Colorado for two years.
Surviving are a son, Wallis of Denver, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Regina Walker of Arvada, Colorado; Mrs. Lena N. Wallis of Burfordville; and Mrs. Billie Bastien both of Florissant; a sister, Blanche Wallis of Burfordville; a brother, Charles J. Wallis of Marble Hill and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at Liberty Church near Marquand. Burial was in Liberty Church Cemetery.
