JOHN HENRY LUECKENHOFF
John Henry Lueckenhoff, 72, died last Friday,
Jan. 7, 1966, at the home near Mary's Home.
A farmer, Mr. Lueckenhoff was born August 26,
1893, in the Mary's Home community, to Henry
and Elizabeth Luebbert Lueckenhoff. He was a
member of Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church
at Mary's Home and the Holy Name Society.
In June of 1919, he married Elizabeth Kempker,
who died in March of 1920. On Feb. 9, 1926,
Mr. Lueckenhoff married Florentine E. Schulte,
who survives at the home.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Theresa
Rush, and Mrs. Dorothy Berendzen, both of
Henley and Mrs. Lucille Bungart and Mrs. Rita
Clarkston, both of Jefferson City; two sons,
Lawrence of Jefferson City and August of Holt's
Summit; two sisters, Miss Effie Lueckenhoff of
the home and Mrs. Rosa Lepper of Spring
Garden, and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday
at the church, with the Rev. Sean Smyth,
officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery
under direction of Phillips Funeral Home of
Nephews serving as pallbearers were Ed and
Jake Lepper, Dale, Marvin and Bernard Schulte
and Ronnie Buschjost.
