Steven Lane Heckemeyer was my fathers cousin. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.
My fathers name is John Anthony Heckemeyer and his father was Anthony Sebastian Heckemeyer who was a brother to your grandfather Steven. I did alot of research on this and other branches of the Heckemeyers. Many people helped, including Pat Hammons who has family connections with the Heckemeyers. My files are on a crashed computer but I can give you some info and will try to locate my paper files.
The story of our heritage is very interesting and amusing
in some ways.
