I would like to correspond with anyone who could help me find information about our Alfords of New Madrid.

Ethen Allen b 12 March 1800 Cayuga, Seneca Co, NY married Victoria Godane in PA. They came up the Mississippi River to New Madrid to join his brother George Alford.

George G Alford 1793-1847, about 1819 moved his family to New Madrid where he resided in the Spanish Pallace, left behind when the Spanish left the area. George opened a store and served as County Court Judge from 1822-1825 and as treasurer from 1834-1836.
In the winter of 1835 he went to Texas after the problem with Mexico , he joined the revolutionary army at San Jacinto and was quartermaster general for Sam Houston.

George and another brother stayed in Texas, was prominent and several places named Alford for his being there doing good deeds.
Ethan Allen stayed in New Madrid , he fell as he departed the boat upon arrival and never fully recovered from his injury. His family, wife and five children lived North of New Madrid, after his death I am searching for information about his wife, Victoria Godane Alford. Does anyone know anything about who she married?
Certainly appreciate any information.
