cem. record -
Dora Ellen "Ella" Piper Simon
Birth: Nov. 18, 1873
Missouri, USA
Death: Jan. 22, 1938
Michigan, USA

Dora Ellen (Ella) Piper Simon was my grandmother. She married Edward Michael Simon at Carthage, MO in 1897. She and Edward had 7 children together: Wallace, Price, Charley, Willie (my father), Mary Alberta (also buried her @ Rocky Comfort), Harry & Ruth. Ella also had twin dau from her first marriage.

Ella was the dau of Lewis Piper & Pernecia Ann Lang Piper. Pernecia is also buried here @ Rocky Comfort. I believe that Lewis is buried at Aurora, Lawrence Co, MO. I'm still seeking exact location of his grave though. He died on March 27, 1886.

Ed was Ella's third husband. Husband #1 was J.A. Killian (or Killion). He was the birth father of her twin dau: Flora & Myrtle. Husband #2 was Charles Good. He is buried in Lawrence Co, MO. I believe Mr Killian is buried in Jasper Co, MO.

Myrtle is "a family mystery". She is listed only once, on a 1900 census record, then she "vanishes".

Both Ella & Ed died in MI, but, per their request, their bodies were returned to MO for burial. WHEN & WHERE did they die in MICH???
