Thank you for your response stating the relationship between the Stephenson & Blackburn families. I do not know how Jesse Stephenson and David Stephenson were related. David Stephenson was born 25 December, 1825, in Louisville, Ky. Supposedly, he and his sister, Sadie, were orphaned and came to Carroll County, Mo., with their aunt, Polly Stephenson. I have never been able to prove they were there, or what happened to Polly or Sadie.

David Stephenson married Louisa Temple Griffith in Nodaway County, on 21 September, 1856. David died in Doniphan Co. Ks., before 1920 and is buried near Wathena, Ks.
