Hi Marylin, I see where you come from. You are a descendant of Elizabeth Hayden, the first child born to Thomas Hayden and Bridget Hart in the U.S. (1822), who
married John Hase in 1844. Bridget Sausse was married to the brother of Thomas in Carrick, Patrick Hayden, so she was a sister-in-law of Thomas, not a blood-relation
Looking for information on the Donnohues who ended up in St Genevieve MO in the late 1700s and early 1800s. The original migrant was Joseph O'Donnohue who came from Ireland (Sligo City?) to Canada around 1765. He is said to have married Eliza Nortan of Bucks County PA in 1770 but may have been married to an Ann Naughton. At any rate he ended up in PA where his son son Joseph Daniel was supposedly born. They later moved to St Genevieve and had two other sons, John and Thomas and two or three daughters, Ann who married John Duvall in 1799 in MO, Rebecca who married Thomas Wright, and supposedly Sallie who married a Pettit. Joseph Daniel was born In 1776 and married Jemima Hazelrigg and then Elizabeth Chorn. John supposedly had a grandson in California but the family letters don't mentioning else. Thomas was a prominent Baptist minister and supposedly had a son named Joseph. I have found land records showing them near St Genevieve as far back as 1810 and church records showing them there even earlier. I believe my ancestor Janes T (Thomas?) Donnohue may be a descendent of these folks, particularly Thomas. I believe his mother, who I think was named Permilia or Pamela and may have married a Brown later in life, was married to one of Thomas's two sons. I am trying to locate the descendants of James T who was married to an Elisabeth Cissel in Perry County MO then to a Sarah Parker who bore my gggrandfather Commodere who was born in Perry County. He had a sister named Missouri and a brother named Van Horn. If Anyone knows anything related to these folks, please let me know. Thank you!

Hello, Robert
Research that we received from Germany in 1979 has his name as being Amschler Johann Georg, 3rd legitimate son, born 4.6.1824 in Menchau, christened on 10.6.1824. He was the son of Amschler Andreas, shepherd in Upper and Nether-Menchau, and of Anna nee Held from Thurnau (the last-mentioned died on 27.3.1832, Aged 47 years, in Berndorf).
Johann Georg Amschler emigrated in Sept. 1850 to St. Louis, North America. This is noted in the church records.

The translation of his bible pages that I have gave his name as John George Amschler from Memhau, Landgericht Thurnau,Kingdom of Baiern, of Upperfranken was married July 10, 1853 to Anna Lang, bor in Wissenfels, Landgericht holfeld, Kingdom Baiern in Upperfrank, born April 28, 1834.
Our John Georg was forn June 4, 1824 in Memhau,Landgericht Thurnau, Kingdom Baiern Upperfrank.

Our John Georg raised his family in the Lutheran Faith. Several of his children and their families are still members of the Lutheran Faith. However, there was one son and one daughter that married Catholics and in later years both of them joined the Catholic Church.

I have never been able to find out if our John Georg has siblings, if there was any and who they where. Does this information fit with anything in your's mother family? My husband is the one with the surname of AMSCHLER.
I just found your post as I have not been out here for a few weeks. I like to hear from you again.

I'm hoping someone on this list can help me. I've been going through photographs from my family and have come across the photograph of a teenage boy, on the back it states in German: "Carl Voelker, born 24 Nov 1883, died 25 Nov 1898".

I've done extensive research on all lines of my family and haven't found any connection to the Voelker family. At the time most of my family lived in southwestern Illinois and I find no Voelker families in that area. My grandfather was born in Frohna, Perry Oounty, MO in 1897 and there were some Voelker families living there, so I'm hoping someone might know who he is.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.

Joel
http://www.rafert.org/home

David James Webb

David James Webb, Sr was born in North Carolina about 1866. He later moved to South Carolina. He was first married to Mary Alice Frost (1881) Their children were Winslow (1903), Eliza Annie (1905)David James (1907) and Andrew Jackson (1909). This is all I am sure about. I have been told that David James Sr would tell people he was an orphan. I believe that his father was Andrew Jackson Webb and his mother Sarah Horn. Census 1870 this couple along with 2 children, David 3 and Isabel 1. Cannot find Sarah or Isabel any later than this census, I assume that mother and daughter died sometime after 1870 but before 1880. David James, Jr, my grandfather, was killed in an auto accident before my mother was born. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also going to post on the Perry County board.

My lineage would be Ruth Ann Brockmeier Orr-> Ruth Lee Snider -> Woodrow Wilson Snider -> Mason Snider -> Sarah Jane Wilson (m. Julius M. Snider) -> John Manson Wilson (m. Margaret Amanda "Mandy" Anderson)

I am also interested in this line: Margaret Amanda "Mandy" Anderson (m1. Samuel Anderson m2.
Hello, I am wondering if you can help me. I am researching our Sullivan family Line. They lived in the Missouri area from the 1850s through the turn of the century. We are not sure of the eldest parents names but understand that they passed away sometime during the Civil War in the Pest House near Ironton, Missouri. We were also told that this "Pest House" was later referred to as the "Poor Farm". They had several children that were taken in by various family and area people following their parent's death from the Small Pox. Two of the children were William Victor Sullivan (born in Dec 1859) and his brother, John L. Sullivan (born in August 1856). We believe there were two sisters, N.Nancy and Elizabeth (Lizzie). We believe there may have been others but can't be sure. William was reportedly born in Liberty, Iron County, Missouri and in all likliness, so were his siblings. We would love to know more about the family should anyone know. William Victor Sullivan married Etta Caroline Braswell, Lizzie married Nathan Oneal. A small note that a cousin has shared has some information written on it that, "the Sullivans were buried near the "Ivester Farm". We are not sure if there may be a cemetery there somewhere or that they were buried on what is now "private property". We would love to discover the whereabouts of their final resting place. Other families associated are the "Carnahans" Stevenson or Stepherson" "Hubble" "Oneal" and "MCfadden" Should you have any information, please email me at glendalecrazy@aol.com or give me a call at 406-465-5667. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We are researching family of Valentine Underwood and wife Hannah (unknown) married between 1830 and 1833. Valentine and his brother Thomas were born in Virginia and migrated from Kentucky, purchasing land in Perry County in 1830; in 1833 they purchased land in Ste Genevieve. Valentine and Hannah's first child was born in 1833 so they would have married sometime before 1833. The 1850 Ste Genevieve census shows that Hannah was born in Missouri.

Thanks for any information you can supply on this family; Hannah's maiden name, when they were married, and where they are buried.
Albert Frederick "Fritz" Moldenhauer immigrated to America in 1871 in his early 20's. Best estimate of his birth year according to various records is 1847. He was married to Margaret Lenz Hoehn Oct 8, 1879 in St Louis MO. and has left only hints of his birth place in his children's birth records such as Germany, Prussia, East Prussia and Friedland. My Grandpa said his grandfather Fritz was a soldier during the war and as a young man could not handle the war and killing so his uncle forged him a "pass" and he stole away to America. Has anyone researching Moldenhauer's traced thier ancestors to Friedland?
