If you have not done so you may want to spend some time at the Missouri State Archives in Jefferson City and the Missouri State Historical Society in St. Louis. I've looked at many of the original census records page by page and you really begin to get a sense of who was there when and who the neighbors were over time. The paths of all of these people would have crossed. I've seen the Pryor and Mason names. I'll pay more attention to them now. I am not 100% sure when nor how my ancestors arrived in Missouri nor where they were from specifically. I have gone to believing a young John Angle looking for adventure after to the Rev. war headed west and ended up in Ste. Genevieve and numerous other forts and settlements in the early years, but there is evidence he was probably married and returned home to somewhere in Pennsylvania and then slowly migrated southwest. If he was with his family he probably was with several families as well. Who they were is of great interest, but I may never know.
