Page 24 - The Towns and Townships of Pike - Curryville:
"Curryville was laid out on a knoll in 1866 under the supervision of Perry A Curry, for whom it was named. Curry was assisted in laying out the town by Judge Harmon Caldwell and Aaron McPike."...
Page 65 - News Events - July 1933:
"A 625-poung meteorite landed on the Al Curry farm near Mt Zion. Curry found the meteorite in a freshly plowed field. it was 27 inches long, 22 inches wide and 12 inched thick."
Page 142 - Curryville Schools:
..."Perry Curry was the first teacher assisted by Miss Nannie Dickerson."...
Page 222 - Churches of Pike County - Curryville Presbyterian Church:
The Curryville Presbyterian Church was organized on October 17, 1875. Perry A Curry was elected and ordained on the same day along with others.
Page 412 - Family Histories - James William and Frances Edna Gillum:
..."When John Henry Curry [July 19, 1940] lost his mother as a child, James and Edna took him under a guardianship and reared him in their home. He remained with them until he was past 21 years old."...
