Surnames: LUNCEFORD, LUNSFORD, FREEMAN, STRAIN, CLARKSON
Looking for more information about Littleton Lunceford and William Lunceford, both living in Polk Co., MO, in the 1840 census. William Lunceford bought land in Polk Co. about that time. Littleton Lunsford, my ancestor, was a Baptist preacher and mentioned in the history book for Henry & St Clair counties. His first wife was Sarah/Sally FREEMAN, and he married second Nancy STRAIN,6 Feb 1839 in Henry Co., MO. Their children were Nancy, Thomas and George in 1850 census of St Clair Co. Littleton's older children were Susannah (married CLARKSON) and Joshua H. Lunsford. There was a Susan b 1833 and a Malissa b 1838, so Nancy was probably married first to a man named Strain. I would appreciate help with this family.
