Obituary from the "Bolivar Free Press," Bolivar, MO, Thursday, 19 Nov 1931:
Cecil Oma Goldsberry was born October 19, 1889 and departed this life November
11, 1931, age 42 years and 22 days.

He was united in marriage Dec. 05, 1930 to Susie Acock. (This appears to be an
error. Polk Co. Marriage Book L Page 168 reports marriage on 5 DEC 1912) To
this union was born one daughter Omaline.

He leaves to mourn his departure his beloved and faithful wife and daughter
together with his mother, Mary Goldsberry, all of Van. and one sister, Mollie
Noyes of Leedy, Oklahoma.

He professed faith in his Savior in Nov. 1919 at New Bethel Church near Van and
sincerely lived in his faith until the hour of his departure.

He was a devoted home loving husband and father, sacrificing always for his
friends and loved ones. He was a neighbor and friend to everone and his
departure leaves a place in his family and community that can never be filled.

His passing ended a long suffering but we are certain that his in now in peace
and happiness there at home with Christ, where he will await the coming of his
friends and loved ones.

The funeral services were preached at 3 oclock Tuesday, November 11, 1931, by
the Rev. J.A. Hook at Van. Mo. Interment was in Slagle Cemetery under the
direction of Hutcheson-Blue.

transcription error. )
