I think several hit the nail on the head. The book committee did a poor job of covering the entire county and had many of their own biases that affected their ability to put out a quality book.
The greatest mystery is why the Ralls County Historical Society didn't use any of the materials sent in to them by Ralls County historians and academics?
It just goes to show you how unqualified the book committee really was and Ron Leake's leadership on this one!
Nothing about the largest cemetery in Ralls County...that is Grand View Burial Park just outside
Hannibal and nothing about Hannibal either which partially sits in Ralls County.
The Ralls County Historical Society gets the Ralls County Herald Enterprise every week and they have their own webpages and facebook page. The silence has been golden the past couple of weeks. Do they all run like scared chickens when they are called out on their misrepresentations on the book and its size 300 - 400 pages and instead delivered only 192 pages? The Ralls County Historical Society and Ron Leake have a lot of answering to do for this poor quality and content amount in this book. We are waiting.
I guess they are too busy with the Merry Go Round in Perry. And around and around she goes.
