This is probably a stretch, I've been trying for years to find an
obit. for my great-grandfather, Francis Marion Clark went by
the name of Frank. He was born Oct 1853 and died 04 Jan.
1906. Lived at Cave Springs in Reynolds Co. and buried in
Semmeter Cem. He descended from two generations of Francis Clark's orginally settled in Wayne Co. in 1804. I was
told by a great aunt years ago he died after having crossed
Black River in a cold rain and took pneumonia.
I have tried to get a possible obit from the people at Wayne Co. Journal Banner. Years ago they told me they had old newspapers in the attic but they were too fragile to handle.
There is a possibility there may have been an obit in Reynolds
Co. if there are any newspapers that have survived from 1906.
If you have a chance I would be ever so grateful. My desperation is in hopes of locating his mother's maiden name
of either Wilson or Womack (Warmack).
