My GG Grandfather was John Scott Kirkland who came to Schuyler Co.,MO, with his wife, Sarah Ann Hocker, about 1854. Three of their children married members of the Green family,who were of Cherokee descent. Descendents of J.S.Kirkland married into families with surnames of Rife, Slavin, Prime, Shelley, Fryrear.
