I am researching the Tannehill-White branch of the Tannehill family and and am seeking others doing the same. Rebecca Tannehill (b. ca. 1838 in Frederick Co., Maryland) came to St. Charles Co., Mo., along with the remainder of her family in the late 1840's. Eventually, they would settle in Montgomery County, but her father [Carlton Tannehill, who married Elizabeth Smith White] owned land in St. C., which (I think!) was eventually given to Rebecca & husband (given name, not known to me). My connection is through Rebecca's sister, Sarah Newton Tannehill (ca. 1832-1896) who married William Wyatt Smith and lived midway between Jonesburg & High Hill, Missouri -- Montgomery County. I would like to make contact with others researching this line and, if possible, share information. My grandmother was Sarah's only daughter. ...Does anyone know who Rebecca (called in the family at times "Becky") married and where they lived (more precisely than I do)? Rebecca has several daughters, referred to by my grandmother as "the Holland girls."
