I have found out more information on Martha Shamburg's family. Her dad Frederick I beleive was born in Switzerland on April 20, 1832. He married a Mary Jane Simpson whose maiden name was Mathena in Midway, IN on Dec. 13, 1873. They had 2 children in Feb. 1898, Martha Alice and John William I think that they also had a third child but have not found that information yet. They lived in IN, and MO most of the time. I have also found conflicting information on 2 census reports in 1900 Martha says that her dad was born in Switzerland and in the 1910 she says he was born in Germany but all of Frederick's military records show Switzerland.
