Rev. George Thomas Lunsford, 80, of Park Hills passed away Feb. 25, 2002, at Parkland Health Center. He was born June 10, 1921, at Farmington, the son of the late Morgan and Effie (Wampler) Lunsford. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Harry and Morgan Lunsford; sister Margaret Benscoter; and brother-in-law Charles and wife Dean Moyers.

Rev. Lunsford served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, and later as a corporal in the United States Army. He was also a member of Farmington VFW Post #5896.

He is survived by wife Alma (Moyers) Lunsford; sister-in-law Doretta and husband Jesse Martin of Park Hills; brothers-in-law Curly and wife Joyce Moyers, John and wife Jan Moyers, and Audie and wife Mamie Moyers; and by niece Becky and husband Bill Bonnell of Park Hills. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Ancel Wampler officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County.
