BETTY WILLIAMS --
SIKESTON - Betty L. “Peachey” Rundel Williams, 60, died June 23, 2004, at Baptist Memorial East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Born Nov. 24, 1943, in St. Louis, daughter of Margaret Portel Rundel of Pevely and the late Loran Rundel, she attended Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston.
She and Charles E. Williams were together since 1966 and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Alan Lancaster of Sikeston and Angie and Allen Williams of Kewanee; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marcelina Sermon of Memphis; two sisters, Norma Beck of Marthasville and Rene Duncan of Pevely; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Taylor and Francis Rundel of Potosi, Jim and Sue Rundel of Festus, Ron Rundel of Bonne Terre [St. Francois County, MO], Gary Rundel of Marthasville and Danny and Cindy Rundel of Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Amy and husband Mark Jaynes and Justin Keller of Sikeston, Matthew Williams and Joshua Williams of Kewanee, Drew Weeks of Lilbourn and Vennie Zorzoli, Marcie Zorzoli and Gabriella Zorzoli of Memphis; and two great-grandchildren, Mallory Jaynes and Addison Jaynes of Sikeston.
One son, Denny Sermon, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid. Pallbearers will be: Gary Rundel, Danny Rundel, Larry Williams, Gary Williams, Randy Hall and Wes Keene.
