Classification: Query
Surnames: Burroughs
Based in the UK, I came to this forum today due to academic research into William Seward Burroughs (1857-1898), inventor of the first practical adding machine and founder of what became the Burroughs Corporation. His eldest daughter Jennie Edler was at the St Louis City Sanitarium in the 1920 census. I emailed the St Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center earlier this evening to enquire about patient records and received a brief reply stating that:

'We do not have any records on deceased clients. Unfortunately they were destroyed by water.'
