Surnames: Stafford
We think he was born about 1800 in England and travelled out to the US in the 1830s/40s. He served under Stephen W Kearney based at Jefferson barracks.

He had at least one son and one daughter. His son's family came back to England and settled in Northumberland (Bedlington) but we believe his daughter remained in the US?
Am trying to trace US descendants.

Many thanks.
