I have found my great-great grandmother Amanda Philipps and have traced her back to the highly probably possibility that her parents were James L. Miller and Megary E. Allred. James is listed as a widow on the 1880 census and he and Megary were married in 1871 with Amanda being born in 1874 and her sister Marilda being born in 1876, and living with thier grandparents in 1880. I have (hopefully correctly) deduced that Megary passed away sometime between 1876 and 1879.

She is listed as being from England when Amanda fills out the census but possible she was born in Missouri as well. I cannot find any birth, immigration, death, or any type of records for her - other than the marriage record from Sullivan County, Missouri in 1874.
