The library does have Microfilmed newspaper Obits up to 1994,however,there is not an Obit listed for any Inez (Fuller) Wilson in it.At least not in the 1970-1999 Index I have a copy of.
Perhaps you should check with the neighboring counties libraries in Adair & Putnam Counties to see if they have anything.

You may have already discovered this info considering your post was made almost 15 years ago,but Zora Leeper's wife,Martha Belle spelled her last name Pierson.Oscar Leeper's wife's given name was Alvada Jane Pierson,however,she went by Vada before and during their marriage and Riley Pearson's given name was George Riley Pierson.Their parents were Washington Pierson-Ellenette (Hull) Pierson.

I can't tell what you are looking for but, My mother was a Azbell and in the family history we have a Miranda Azbell that married a Punes. Miranda Azbell was born to William Asbell and Sarah Southerns in around 1822 or after. Miranda was one of 12 children. We have the Azbell history dating back to 1598. The azbell name was spelled many ways: Asball, Asbell, Asbill, Azbill, Azbill, Azbell

Since her name is listed in the Sullivan County, Missouri Cemetery Records I am assuming she is buried in a cemetery. But the books are not available on ancestry, just names contained in them.

You might have heard that in recent days due to lack of support, the Morton Museum had to cancel their sponsorship of a two-day commemoration for the 150th anniversary of the Great Hanging at Gainesville, 1862-2012. It included educational bus tours, renowned authors and speakers, and a Civil War era ball on October 12-13, 2012 at the Civic Center.

· Richard McCaslin, PhD is the University of North Texas Department of History Chairman. He earned his BA from Delta State University, MA from Louisiana State University and PhD from The University of Texas at Austin and has authored Tainted Breeze: The Great Hanging at Gainesville, Texas, 1862.

· Leon Russell, born in 1928, three miles East of Gainesville considered it home until enlisting in the Army Air Corp at the age seventeen 17. Fueled by his motivation and complete disapproval of the cloak of secrecy surrounding the hangings, and the lack of the proper recognition of the injustice to the slain and their families, he successfully influenced the city of Gainesville to allow the first commemoration in Georgia Bass Park in 2007. His mission was to honor those citizens who tragically lost their lives in 1862.

· Ron Melugin, Professor of Government, NCTC; chairman of Cooke County Historical Commission; research responsible for 15 Texas Official Historical Markers in Gainesville; author of Heroes, Scoundrels and Angels: Fairview Cemetery of Gainesville, Texas.

· L.D. Clark earned his BA, MA, and PhD from Columbia University. He had a long career of teaching English at the University of Arizona, The University of Nice and Korea University. He is the author of A Bright Tragic Thing and Civil War Recollections of James Lemuel Clark. Mr. Clark is the grandson of James Lemuel Clark and great-grandson of Nathaniel Miles Clark, victim of the Great Hanging.

my PAGE family stayed in virginia,albeit some of my ggggrandfathers brothers and sisters came to saline county,missouri between the years of 1832-1838
my ggggrandfather is buried in the pettyjohn cemetery threesprings,.virginia,washington county,virginia.my page family was never in arkansas that i know of,but some came to saline county,missouri.some went into randolph county,missouri and are buried there.some are buried in saline county and howard county,missouri.

Amanda is my Great Great Grandmother. I'm guessing the E stands for Ellen which was Amanda's middle name and seems to be a family name but I haven't put that in yet as I can' verify that. I haven't located a Charles Miller so I don't know. Amanda's husband was James Harvey Philipps. I haven't gotten into the Hartsock link all that much right now so I can't be much help there either. Are you part of this line, where? It's always fun to meet and figure out relations.

Thanks for the info on Ludwell James Miller and Megary E. Allred. Do you have any information on Marilda Miller (daughter). Do you know what the E. stands for in Megary's middle name? Where does Charles Miller fit into the family? Who was Amanda's husband? I am also interested in receiving more information on Daniel Hartsock if you are able to share it. Ludwell James Miller's father was William John Miller. William John Miller's father was James F. Miller married to Harriet in 1829. James F. Miller's father was Alexander Miller married to Catharine Rankin. As far as I can tell they were all from Kentucky. Please send the letter that was sent to Charles Miller. Hello, I am wondering if you can help me. I am researching our Sullivan family Line. They lived in the Missouri area from the 1850s through the turn of the century. We are not sure of the eldest parents names but understand that they passed away sometime during the Civil War in the Pest House near Ironton, Missouri. We were also told that this "Pest House" was later referred to as the "Poor Farm". They had several children that were taken in by various family and area people following their parent's death from the Small Pox. Two of the children were William Victor Sullivan (born in Dec 1859) and his brother, John L. Sullivan (born in August 1856). We believe there were two sisters, N.Nancy and Elizabeth (Lizzie). We believe there may have been others but can't be sure. William was reportedly born in Liberty, Iron County, Missouri and in all likliness, so were his siblings. We would love to know more about the family should anyone know. William Victor Sullivan married Etta Caroline Braswell, Lizzie married Nathan Oneal. A small note that a cousin has shared has some information written on it that, "the Sullivans were buried near the "Ivester Farm". We are not sure if there may be a cemetery there somewhere or that they were buried on what is now "private property". We would love to discover the whereabouts of their final resting place. No -- if I did, I would post links to on-line papers. The Chillicothe MO newspapers are on Ancestry and sometimes I find a Sullivan County ancestor there -- usually "visiting" someone.

If anyone knows of one, please reply to this thread. Even if it has a cost, I can add it to the site and put $$ by the link so people know it's available ... it just is going to cost money.

Thank you for the copy of the obituary!

I can read all of it just fine except for the last line or two in each column.

first column my reading ends with - "his arms folded across his breast, as"

second column my reading ends with - "er, William Montgomery, of near Mil-"

The remainder of those two columns would be nice.

Nice to meet you also. As you can see I am a busy grandmother of 5 and I haven't been on here much. I need to get back into doing more of my family tree when I can. I enjoy it so much!
