Some Veterans' graves in Vernon Co. have military markers, but many do not. If you have an ancestor buried in any cemetery in Vernon County who is a Veteran and there is not a military marker for him or her, please email tricountygenealogy@centurytel.net with that information so recognition as a Veteran can be given in the new cemetery directory.

Information needed is the name of the Veteran, cemetery where buried, and any of the following information that you can provide:
---Branch of service (i.e., U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, etc.)
---Military Conflict (i.e., World War II, Vietnam, Korea, etc., if service was during war time)
---Rank (i.e., PFC, Capt., Spec 4, etc.)
---Military Unit (i.e., Company A, 45th Enrolled Missouri Militia)

The information is needed by October 15, 2008 to ensure it is included in the new directory.

Thank you for your help in honoring our Veterans!
