MRS. LOUISE C. W. BESTE
Mrs. Louise Caroline Beste, nee Krusekropt, was born in Germany, November 20, 1840, and grew to womanhood in her native land. In 1862 she came to America to make her home and in the same year was married to Herm. Boedeker. This union was blessed with eight children as follows: Earnest
H., Mrs. Ernest Hoefer, Mrs. Wm. Hasenjaeger, Fredrick and Mrs. Gustav Opfer, all of Higginsville, Mo. Mrs. Agusta Sprick, Mayview, Mo.; Mrs. F. Hauth of Kansas and Miss Ida who passed away in 1907.
For eightteen years the family lived in and near Warrenton, when the father passed away in 1880. Six years later she was married to Earnest Paul, which union continued for only a short time. In 1892 she was agian married, this time to Frederick Beste of Wright City, who preceded her in death in 1908.
She then went to Higgensville and made her home with her children until death removed her. During her last days she was helpless and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Opfer, March 28, 1912 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 8 days. Besides her children she leaves two brothers, Fred Krusekopt of St. Louis, and Rev. Henry Krusekopt of Chamois.
On Palm Sunday short services were held in Evangelical Church in Higginsville after which her children accompanied the remains to Wright City where interment took place. Rev. ?ieger of Higginsville conducted the service from the home and also in Wright City.
