Hulsey, born March 14, 1839 in Richwoods, Missouri to James Hulsey and Sarah Byron, and died November 30, 1903. He was a lead miner in Joplin, Missouri, which is in Jasper County. He was married to Jane ?. They had the following children: Penilla, Mary Emma, Polly Ann, Jenetta, Stephen M. II, and Sarah E.
