Martin and Thomas Rhyne were sons of Jacob and Maria Elizabeth Best Rhyne of Lincoln Co., NC who was in Cape Girardeau and Perry Counties in 1820s. Martin d. in Cape Girardeau Co. before Mar 1823 and his widow Jane Freeman (m. 1797) Rhyne d. before 3 Jan 1837. Good estate records there on both of them telling who their children were and where located. Thomas Rhyne was married 1814 to Catharine Rudisill in Lincoln Co., NC and they moved to Perry Co. There is much on the antecedants of these families in "German Speaking People West of The Catawba River in NC 1750-1800" which can be found in most major Library collections.
