Job Key was born in Staffordshire, England, March 23, 1834. Died at his home in Worth County, Missouri, September 3, 1919, age 85 years, 5 months, and 10 days.
He came to America at the age of 19, afterward making several return trips to England. On March 27, 1864, he was married to Mary Ann Claridge. To this union were born five children, three daughters and two sons. John died in infancy. The wife and four children survive to mourn his death. The children are: Mrs. Harriett Craft, Bartlesville, Okla.; Mrs. Edith Walton of Pasadena, Cal.; Mrs. Eunice Hurd, Sweet Springs, Mo.; Henry Key, Mt. Ayr, Ia.
Brother Key was a member of the Lotts Grove Baptist Church and was ordained a Minister of that church February 19, 1899. He was faithful in all of the work of the church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, for to know him was to love him.
The funeral service was conducted at the Lotts Grove Church Staurday, Sept. 6, by the Pastor of the Baptist Church at Mt. Ayr. Burial was in the Lotts Grove Cemetery.
