I noticed your message and wondered if you could point me in the right direction. On Ancestry.com there are registration card for the World War I Draft 1917-1918.
I found a Charles O'Rourke card:

serial # 2464
Order # 2102
Charles (Charlie) Joseph O'Rourke
resident- 3690 Clark; St.Louis, MO
45 yrs;born May 15, 1872
present occupation - Foreman
Employer's name - U.S.Gov; Norfolk, VA (As far as the family know Charles always lived in St. Louis, MO. Would there of been gov offices in St. Louis, Mo at that time?)
nearest relative - wife - Annie (Armstrong) O'Rourke
3690 Clark; St. Louis, MO
I am hoping you might of seen some civilian records that the gov has kept for that time period. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Having trouble finding Charles O'Rourke's parents, etc.
thanks for your time
Sincerely,
Lynnda Wohleb Shaffer
Kearney, MO
