Hi,

Can anyone help me find the [maiden name] of Claire (1888-1967) wife of David Jones (1881-1941).

Claire was born in Missouri about April 22 1888. She was married to David Jones probably around 1916-17. David Jones was born in the Province of Quebec on September 8th 1881.

Claire [?maiden name?] Jones had two kids : Alice Claire Jones born Missouri 1919 and Loyd Jones born Missouri 1922.

- By 1918, the couple were living at : 4763 Dahlia Street in St-Louis Missouri per David's registration papers of WW1.

- Then, I found the couple in the 1920 census living in St-Louis Independent City Missouri.

- By 1930, Claire was still living in St-Louis Independent Missouri and said she was a widow, living with her two small children, Alice and Loyd.

- By 1940, I found David Jones in Valley Park City, St-Louis, Bonhomme Township Missouri, at 820 River Drive.

As attachment, I have included 1920, 1930 and 1940 censuses.

David Jones was well known in the business world of the area. By 1910, he was working for the Armour & Company as a salesman, and later on founded his own laundry and dry cleaning Company in St-Louis.

David Jones died on January 12 1941 and was buried on January 15 1941 in the New Saint Marcus Cemetery St-Louis Missouri. His wife Claire, was also buried in the New Saint Marcus Cemetery St-Louis Missouri on January 23rd 1967.

What can be found in Missouri records for those people ? At least if I have Claire's maiden name, I'll be able to go further back in the line.

Please, can anyone help.....

Thank you,

Gigi
