I am trying to find the parents of William Black, born in the early 1830's somewhere in MO. In the 1850 Census of Valencia County, New Mexico, he was listed a soldier. In 1851, there was an "diligencia matrimonial" (spanish for prenuptial investigation) for Julián (spanish for William) Blax, where he lists his parents as Pters Pailry and Selis Noran when applying to marry Juana María Chávez. He must of left the army, as he states that he was a farmer. Julián (William) and Juana María had 2 children. Julián was killed by the Apachés in the 1870's in Socorro County, New Mexico. Any info is welcomed.
