Tammy, There was one located in Des Peres or Kirkwood. It was a Lutheran Home/Orphanage for unwed mothers....My mother had a son in 1942 and he was placed for adoption through this home...I am also trying to locate my half brother at this time..his d.o.b is 7-23-42 and was given the birth name of Jimmie Lee Dost...His records are still closed though and I can't get the adopted parents name...He may not even know he was adopted or he may not even be alive...good luck with your search.....Linda
