Okay - I've got 3, possiblily 4 children, who's parents died in 1851 or 1852 and given a guardian, Caspar Martin, but I can't find the guardian in the 1860 census - where would the children have ended up?

the surname is Horning/Hornung - John b. 1840 in KY, Jacob b. 1842 in MO, Margaret b. 1845 in MO, and possibily George b. 1851/2 in MO (he wasn't listed in the 1850 one, but was in the probate, but the father wasn't in the 1850 either so???).

Jacob is mine and is in Kentucky/Indiana area until his death in 1889.

Margaret, John and George I haven't been able to find. I was hoping John might have joined the fighting in the Civil War, but I haven't been able to find someone who fits.

thanks for any and all help
