Classification: Query
Surnames: WOHLERS, BOHN, KOHRS, ROHDE
In 1914, my grandfather, Walter WOHLERS & wife Marie, his sister Bertha, mother Anna KOHRS-WOHLERS-ROHDE, & half-brother Rudolf J. WOHLERS, left Manning, Carroll Co. Iowa for Scobey, Daniels Co., Montana. Walter and his brother had a lumber company, and the building is still there with the name on the back "W.J. WOHLERS LUMBER". The front of the building has an Auto Parts name on it, something like "Chief Auto Parts". Walter helped build up the town of Scobey with the early pioneers. The family were members of the Lutheran Church in town. Rudolf died about 1919 and is buired in Scobey. My Uncle Paul WOHLERS was born in Scobey in 1915, died in 1997 in Santa Monica, CA. Bertha married George BOHN, but I do not know when and where. The family left Scobey in 1924/25 for Santa Ana, CA.
Any help is appreciated.
